Kylie Johnson is an artist and arts administrator based in Tasmania. Kylie attained her MFA from the Tasmanian College of the Arts, Fine Art - University of Tasmania, which included a study period at the Glasgow School of Art, UK. In 2010 she returned to Hobart after working at Artspace, Sydney to take up the position of Exhibitions & Public Program Co-ordinator at CAST. Kylie has curated and worked on numerous projects including; Shotgun (2010-annually) with Detached Coordinating Curator, Craig Judd and Iteration:Again, public art projects and symposium with Curatorial Director, David Cross (2011). In recent years Kylie has moved from an art practice centered on gallery based outcomes to include public and social spaces. Her interest in seductive and transformative experience as well as survivalist culture, fantasy and apocalyptic themes manifest in storytelling, one-on-one performances and documentation from lived experiences
